Managing Principal and Portfolio Manager
- Gregg Grauer serves as G2's Managing Principal and Portfolio Manager. In this role, he is responsible for deal sourcing, due diligence, transaction structuring, investment decisions, closing, monitoring, transaction management, exiting and monetization, portfolio management and administration, and investor relations.
- Prior to G2, Gregg co-founded and co-managed Greenstalk Capital and Restruck Capital Partners – each of which originated and managed a series of market-condition-driven structured direct investments backed by commercial real estate and hard assets. Restruck commenced investments in 2012 starting with assets that were significantly repriced during the Great Financial Crisis (“GFC”). Greenstalk’s first investments stated in 2014 as asset prices and markets began to recover. Shortly after the GFC started, Gregg co-founded and managed Covendium LLC, a Florida-based debtor-side commercial debt workout firm. Starting in 2009, Covendium restructured over $4 billion of commercial real estate mortgages and operating company debt using proprietary processes and systems.
- Previously, Gregg was a Managing Director running special situation businesses for Deutsche Bank’s Structured Capital Markets Group in New York, London, and Frankfurt. Gregg served Deutsche Bank for nearly two decades, first as a direct employee to predecessor Banker's Trust and later as an independent consultant. Earlier, Gregg practiced tax law at Proskauer Rose LLP and LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae, and was senior law clerk to U.S. Tax Court Judge Julian I. Jacobs.
- Gregg holds an LL.M. from NYU School of Law, a J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan. Gregg is an avid volunteer devoting his time to children in need and emergency medical services.
Founder Partners/Investment Committee/Advisors
- G2's diverse eight-member founder partner, investment committee and advisory group includes: professional real estate investors, finance and banking experts, large-scale operating company CEOs and COOs, professional private equity investors and top legal professionals; all have direct experience investing in custom structured alternative assets.
- G2's Founder Partners and Advisors provide detailed input to G2's portfolio manager and deal team during new transaction triage, pre-due diligence, transaction structuring - and in some cases - deal documentation.
- G2's portfolio manager and select members of G2's Founder Partner group serve as the investment committee for each G2 transaction that makes it to the custom G2 offer stage.
- All G2 Founder Partners and Advisors are available to provide guidance to G2's portfolio manager during the asset management process and when making exit and monetization decisions.
Senior Analyst
- Michael Gaskin is a senior real estate professional with over 25+ years of real estate experience across multiple product classes.
- Michael was a Senior Analyst with Greenstalk Capital.
- Prior to Greenstalk, Michael was an independent consultant restructuring and executing work-out strategies with real estate developers and operating businesses. Michael has been in the property management and development business for over 25 years. He developed and managed over 10,000 housing units consisting of single-family, multifamily, townhome and luxury condominiums. His responsibilities included site selection, due diligence, site acquisition, entitlement management, planning, development, and construction. Michael has also served in senior management roles of operating companies reporting directly to the board of directors and responsible for developing and executing company strategies.
- Michael holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Florida and a B.S. in Business Administration from Hannibal-LaGrange University.
- Michael maintains an active Real Estate Brokers license and General Contractor's license in the State of Florida.
Executive Coordinator - Portfolio Management Support
- Diane Albano Ryan is a seasoned executive assistant and coordinator with over 24+ years of working closely with CEOs, COOs, and Investors within residential and commercial industries.
- Diane coordinates all G2 data and information flow.
- Reporting directly to G2's portfolio manager, Diane provides day-to-day support for:
- Transaction triage and due diligence activities;
- Execution documentation and transaction-specific critical-date calendars;
- Asset management, investor reporting and periodic investor distribution functions;
- Investor communications and relations;
- Record keeping, data integrity and preservation and data security; and
- Bookkeeping, banking, tax reporting, and entity maintenance activities.
